Overview
The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) is the principal legal organization of the Government of Singapore. Established in 1867, AGC provides comprehensive legal services to support the Government, public sector agencies, and the administration of justice.
AGC’s responsibilities include advising government ministries and statutory boards on legal matters, representing the State in legal proceedings, conducting criminal prosecutions through the Public Prosecutor’s Office, drafting legislation, and managing international legal matters.
The organization plays a key role in maintaining the rule of law, strengthening Singapore’s legal framework, and supporting effective governance through professional legal expertise.
